AOC was founded as the Admiral brand in Chicago, USA, in 1934. In 1947 they were one of the first companies to produce colour television sets. Rebranded as Admiral Overseas Corporation (AOC), they are now based out of Taiwan, providing display technologies worldwide. AOC launched their AGON line of premium gaming monitors in 2016, and they have since been the number one gaming monitor brand in the world, while being the fourth monitor brand overall.
